Our Guest House: The Prairie Cottage

| Our guest house, The Prairie Cottage, has two garden areas in the front of
the building and two behind it. The two in the front feature
plants native to Iowa. The two in the back area are
filled with colorful flowers and three producing cherry trees. It is
a quiet and serene environment.

Patio Area
The Prairie Cottage
has a unique enclosed patio area where you can enjoy the
goings-on outside via a large window or just relax on the porch
decorated in items from Iowa farms of yesteryear.
The comfortable living room has
a futon couch that makes into a bed. The Prairie Cottage easily
sleeps 6 adults, and more if they are children or teens. We
supply a stocked library of videos and books.
Watch TV or surf the Internet at your leisure as we supply a
desktop computer and Wireless High
Speed Internet access. We also allow sleeping bags and
air-mattresses if your children prefer to "rough it!"

In the spring the innkeepers plant a large vegetable and flower
garden. Our guests always share in the abundance of organically
grown tomatoes, okra, sweet corn, squash, beans and whatever else
they've tried their hand out in any given year!
